TransNet is the voter approved half-cent sales tax for San Diego region transportation projects. It is administered by the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG). During the 60 year life of the program, more than $17 billion will be generated and distributed among highway, transit, and local road projects in approximately equal thirds.

The I-15 Express Lanes provide 20 miles of congestion-free travel between SR 78 and SR 163 in San Diego. Carpools, vanpools, clean-air vehicles, motorcycles, and transit vehicles can use the lanes for free; solo drivers must pay the toll with a FasTrak® transponder.
