Opportunities to Get Involved

Since the North Park | Mid-City Bikeways planning process began in 2013, seven community workshops were held and at least 90 presentations were made to existing community groups. This has allowed the community to discuss project details and provide input on project design in order to achieve the goal of creating more opportunities to walk and bike in a low-stress environment.

Presentations to community groups and organizations are available upon request. To request a presentation, please contact the project manager.

NEW: Bikeway Enhancements Questionnaire

As SANDAG moves closer to finalizing the design on bikeways in the North Park and Mid-City areas, we are seeking your input on aesthetic elements that could be included in these projects.

There are several locations with traffic calming features, such as curb extensions and neighborhood traffic circles, where there is an opportunity to add aesthetic elements to help beautify the community and provide a sense of place. The City of San Diego requires project elements that fall within their guidelines of “typical” materials and standard maintenance efforts. All options proposed in this questionnaire are consistent with these requirements.

This questionnaire should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Your input is highly valuable to our planning efforts. Results will be analyzed in aggregate so that individual responses will remain anonymous. Please complete the questionnaire by March 16, 2018. Thank you in advance for your input.
