SR 76 East Segment - Project Update
SR 76 East, which hosted its scoping meeting in December 2008, will continue improvements from South Mission Road to I-15. It will be the third of three improvement projects to the SR 76 corridor between I-5 and I-15 funded by the half-cent sales tax known as TransNet.
SR 76 East Segment - Project Description
The East Segment from South Mission Road in Bonsall to the I-15/SR 76 Interchange serves regional and interregional trips between I-5 and I-15, as well as local trips in the Bonsall and Fallbrook communities. Current Average Daily Traffic counts (ADTs) on this segment range from 22,000-28,000 trips per day. Traffic on this segment currently operates at an acceptable level of service, but traffic is projected to exceed capacity by 2030.
Improvements east of I-15 are in various stages of development and construction.
