Schedule & Budget
The Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project has been identified as a high-priority project by SANDAG and is part of the TransNet Early Action Program. SANDAG is seeking funding for the project from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) through the New Starts Program. A 50 percent local match to the FTA funding would be provided by a combination of state and regional funds, including local sales tax revenue generated through TransNet. The estimated total cost of the project, including planning and preliminary engineering work, is $1.2 billion.
