Improvements to the I-805/La Jolla Village Drive Interchange include ramp realignments, bridge widening and reconfiguring from a full cloverleaf to a partial cloverleaf design.

These improvements will eliminate the existing weave at the on- and off-service ramps on I-805 by realigning the existing on- and off-ramps at La Jolla Village Drive. The project will improve safety for pedestrians and bicyclists and greatly enhance vehicular movement.

An environmental impact statement/environmental impact report was approved in May 1998. Currently, a re-evaluation of the report is pending, and the project is 90 percent designed.
