Funding has been committed to the I-5 North Coast Corridor Project to complete the Environmental Document and Project Report. The $32 million studies will weigh the balance between mobility benefits and project impacts of each alternative and lead to the selection of a preferred alternative. A draft version of the Environmental Document could be available this summer for public review. SANDAG has committed $1.4 billion toward the design and construction stages, which will begin after the selection of a preferred alternative.
